A voluminous and developed bouquet of brioche, almond cream, lemon curd and roasted hazelnut leads to a creamy, mellow palate with deep-pitched mature flavours of dried fruit and nut. This clearly shows bottle development and layers of earthy, mushroomy complexity which sit above the firm, chalky structure. Wet stone, oyster-shell and dried lily rise above the mellow fruit on the long, dry finish where a hint of apricot stone is starting to emerge. A commanding and serious sparkling wine.
